Ramos, an iconic figure in Spanish soccer, has had an impressive career. He played for Spain in several international competitions, winning a World Cup, two European Championships and a record 180 games over a 16-year period. He also had an outstanding career at Real Madrid, winning four Champions League trophies, among many other awards.
Raised on the outskirts of Seville, Ramos joined Sevilla’s academy at the age of seven, making 50 appearances in all competitions before being transferred to Real Madrid in 2005. During his 16-year spell in the Spanish capital, Ramos played 671 games and won 22 trophies, including five La Liga titles.
After his contract with Real Madrid expired in 2021, Ramos moved to Paris Saint-Germain, where he enjoyed two successful seasons, securing back-to-back league titles.
Now, his return to Sevilla, with the club currently struggling at the bottom of La Liga, is seen as a homecoming of great significance and emotion for both the player and the club’s passionate fans.
