Following Real Madrid’s 4-2 defeat to Girona on Tuesday, Vinicius Junior returned to social media to express his dissatisfaction with La Liga’s managers.
During the match, a Girona player kicked Vinicius Junior, prompting the Brazilian to ask for his opponent to be punished. However, instead of being reprimanded, Vinicius Junior himself received a yellow card.
In the 36th minute of the match between Real Madrid and Girona, Vinicius Junior fell to the ground near the sideline, where Girona defender Santiago Bueno aggressively kicked the ball out of his possession.
Vinicius Junior perceived Bueno’s action as deliberate and unsportsmanlike, which frustrated him. In response, he spoke out against it, which resulted in a yellow card for the Brazilian, while Bueno went unpunished.
After the match, Vinicius Junior retweeted a comment about the sequence, writing: “? Laliga ?”
Over the last two seasons, Vinicius Junior has been outspoken about his criticism of La Liga, particularly in relation to what he perceives as a lack of protection against racial abuse from opposing fans and aggressive fouls from rival players.
