Having read some of the posts on wolvesrumours.co.uk, I fear it is perhaps easy to get carried away with the “comeback”. However, although this may annoy DMAC it was pretty much only against a seemingly disinterested Chelsea youth team /reserves.
The game was a Curate’s egg. A truly terrible first half – even this however had patches / glimpses of quality – followed by a better second half when 3 goals were scored and several other very good chances were missed.
The first and 3rd goals were almost identical defensive catastrophes, with Sa playing balls into players coming back towards the goal who had neither the skill nor the strength to take the ball. Consequently, the ball was lost and the Chelsea player was left unmarked – why – to knock the ball past a seemingly less than motivated Sa.
All in all it was an awful loss from a game that could and should have been won against a really poor Chelsea side who really did not give a monkeys! Very worried that I have a ticket for the league game next week at Stamford Bridge against their first team, who will be trying! That could be really embarrassing!
