Not sure about anyone else but is this a reality – Some people think we’ve got a better squad, stronger than we’ve had in years. I’ll admit, back in the summer I thought we’d recruited well too. But now I’ve got to hold my hands up and say I was wrong, It’s been terrible.
We have no defence, no midfield, and no attack. There’s no structure, no leadership, and no identity on the pitch. We’re crying out for a complete rebuild
a new defensive line, a commanding number 1 in goal, and serious upgrades in midfield and attack. Wingers, strikers, playmakers the lot
Honestly, this feels like the weakest Rangers team I’ve seen in over a decade. Even the players don’t look hurt when losing, no real emotion who’s all staying if the stuffing hits the fan?
And with the way things are going, missing out on European football next season isn’t just a nightmare scenario, it’s a real possibility. Some might laugh at that idea now, but let’s see how they’re laughing come May.
It’s no wonder our club isn’t seen as an attractive job anymore. We’re paying Premier League wages for Championship level performances.
The balance is all wrong on and off the pitch.
Right now, I’ve got no idea where we’re heading. There’s no clear direction, no long term vision. But one thing I do know this feels different. And not in a good way.
Remember the old phrase: “We don’t do walking away”. Well, something tells me the next 5-10 years could test that more than ever.
Because what happens when the fans the heartbeat of this club start to lose faith? When they start to question what they’re actually investing in?
Change is coming, that much is clear. Whether it’s for the better or worse, time will tell. Will foreign investors continue to try and make the league more competitive and appealing? Or will they lose interest when the quick profits don’t come?
Will fans continue to pour their hard-earned money into the club, or will they finally say, “enough is enough? Because if this team continues to regress, who could honestly blame them?
The next five years are going to define the future of Rangers not just on the pitch, but as a club, a culture, and a fanbase. If we don’t get it right, the dream projects like the ones the 49ers had could vanish into thin air.
And when that happens, we’ll be left asking one question: Where does that leave Glasgow Rangers? Something feels way off just now and it has my senses pricked!
