We are more and more becoming music to the new club’s fans . For years they wandered in the desert, they did everything within their capabilities to be recognised, thank God almost to a man season after season, Celtic fans ignored their team because no matter what propaganda was spread by club, fans and Scottish Main Stream Media (SMSM), Celtic fans saw it as a load of hot air .
Now we have people from the other side of the World and some nearer from home who seem to have swallowed the good news and publicly tell both Celtic and the Rangers2012 that the end of Celtic domination is nigh and is being bought about by free transfers and loans from all that is bad in England.
We know something is not right about our club’s recent activity in the transfer window from a promising beginning with 5-6 signings, we seem to have hit a barrier maybe we could by discussing that sudden apparent stop mid window, we could try to get some clarity for what has abruptly ended our window.
It’s so easy, season after season to blame the Board, I think we need to search deeper as I cannot believe our members so adroit and successful in their own profession and / or business can combine with other successful people and become the incompetent mess that many seem to think they are .
These people are similar to most fans, they want Celtic to be as successful as they can be. I know some fans will call me an apologist for the Board, however, name calling won’t change anything, and I too, could do the same without benefiting the club.
European qualifiers bring about some rare results. The SMSM and Rangers2012 are overcome with excitement, a new dawn is with us, the Rangers have won a qualifying game against a team who had started to sell its best players in the week before playing Rangers2012.
I think however, the best result this week came from FAI’s Shellbourne coming from one goal down to win 2-1 away with an interim manager in charge since Damian Duff walked away unexpectedly. We as fans have important work to do, we have to provide the same encouragement as the large crowd for flag day showed us last Sunday.
