After Curtis had his arm raised in December 2021, the meeting between the athletes was evenly matched, with an even exchange and Allen looking to add another finish to his CV. However, “The Action Man”, even with his back dominated, saved himself and frustrated his rival.
But after five rounds, the referees decided, in a split decision, that Brendan had won his seventh in a row in the organization, making him 24-5 in MMA, while Chris was stopped with a 31-11 record.
In the post-fight interview, the finisher, who is currently ranked 6th in the 84kg category, asked for a chance to face Dricus du Plessis, the division’s current champion, who has yet to defend his title.
