According to Henry Cejudo, a former UFC champion and friend of Mike’s, the veteran will shell out 20 million dollars (around R$99,000) to step into the ring against the 27-year-old.
“I mean, you know what I respect, Uncle Mike… but obviously it takes two to tango. I feel that there will probably be a good payment for Mike. He’ll probably end up earning around $20 million and he’s about to turn 58. Literally, Jake is 27 and Mike is 57,” he told the ‘Pound 4 Pound’ podcast.
Although astronomical, the amount is still not the highest Tyson has ever received. In his heyday, during his duels against Evander Holyfield in 1996 and 1997, it is estimated that the former heavyweight champion paid U$ 30 million (around R$ 150 million at the current price), according to ESPN.
