Cádiz – Girona – 0:1
After losing to Real Madrid, Girona continued their winning run in La Liga. The away win over Cádiz lifted the club into second place. Note that in the 10th minute, Machis was shown a straight red, leaving the hosts at a disadvantage.
Garcia scored the only goal in the 59th minute, taking advantage of a pass from Yan Couto. Later, the Brazilian himself could have scored, but Ledesma saved his shot. The match also saw the participation of Brazilians Lucas Pires, for the hosts, and Sávio, for the visitors.
Real Madrid – Osasuna – 4:0
Real Madrid stayed top of the table with a convincing win over Osasuna at the Santiago Bernabéu. Jude Bellingham scored twice – he opened the scoring in the ninth minute and scored the second goal just after the break. Vinicius Junior scored the third goal and was replaced by another Brazilian, Rodrigo, in the 72nd minute. Joselu scored the fourth goal and, in the 84th minute, shot wide from the penalty spot.
Genoa – Milan – 0:1
Milan beat Genoa 1-0 to secure first place in Serie A thanks to a late goal from Christian Pulisic. In the 87th minute, the American responded to Musah’s cross.
In stoppage time, a rare occurrence in soccer took place: both goalkeepers were sent off. In the 98th minute, Mann played rudely and Giroud had to be put in Milan’s goal (all the substitutions had already been made), and in the 90th minute Josep Martinez received his second yellow for tripping.
Inter – Bologna – 2:2
Inter Milan took a 2-0 lead in the 13th minute thanks to goals from Acerbi and Martinez. In the 19th minute, Orsolini reduced Bologna’s deficit from the penalty spot. Then came two dangerous shots from the hosts, which were saved by Skorupski. And in the 52nd minute, Zirkzee leveled the score.
Even so, Inter should have won – in the 60th minute, Sanchez’s goal was disallowed (offside). Brazilian Carlos Augusto, who came on as a second-half substitute, failed to beat the goalkeeper in the 84th minute and then headed close to the post in the 89th minute.
Juventus – Torino – 2:0
Brazilian defender Bremer emerged victorious in his duel with Zapata, although it cost him dearly as he was left bleeding after an aerial challenge in the second half. However, this incident led to Gatti’s opening goal. Danilo also put in a solid performance, always being in the right place at the right time to support the team. Milik scored the second goal in the 62nd minute from a corner kick.
Juve moved up to third place in the standings. This win extended Juventus’ unbeaten run against Torino (the teams represent the same city) to 17 matches in Serie A.
