Gremio’s rising star, Matheus Bitello, finds himself at a crossroads when considering a possible move to Dynamo Moscow in Russia. The 23-year-old striker has received a tempting offer of 10 million euros (approximately R$53.3 million at the current exchange rate) and, although he remains focused on his current commitments with the Olympic team, he hasn’t ruled out the possibility of moving to Europe.
Bitello, who is currently with the Olympic team delegation for the friendlies against Morocco, spoke about the ongoing negotiations in a recent statement. Maintaining an air of mystery, Bitello avoided openly rejecting the opportunity to play in Europe and instead deferred the final decision to his manager. With the transfer window in Russia about to close, a solution is imminent.
“I have the proposal and I’m leaving it in the hands of my manager. He knows what I want. I’m focused here, giving my all in these last few days of training. When I get back, I’ll take care of it“, said Bitello during a conversation with the press.
He continued: “There are possibilities, but nothing is certain. My manager is working on it, and we’ll see what happens.“
Bitello, whose contract with Gremio runs until 2025, has made a significant impact despite his young age. With 43 appearances, nine goals and five assists, he has been an integral part of Renato Gaúcho’s team. However, in recent games he has found himself on the bench, mainly due to a tactical change implemented by the coach.
The possible move to Dinamo Moscow represents a significant opportunity for Bitello to further his career on the European stage. It’s a decision that could shape his future in soccer and potentially open new doors for his development.
