After the announcement, Giroud expressed his joy, saying “I’m very proud, very happy … the perfect way to celebrate last night.” Milan could now face Inter Milan in the semi-finals of the Champions League, with the latter currently leading by two goals ahead of the return leg with Benfica on Wednesday.

His experience and leadership have been vital in helping Milan compete at the highest level, and his new contract extension is testament to the faith the club has in him to continue delivering over the coming seasons.
