The knockout stages of the NBB 2022/2023 playoffs have begun, with eight teams competing for four places in the quarter-finals. These clubs will face the four best teams of the regular season, Franca, Flamengo, São Paulo and 123 Minas. The playoffs begin on Monday, April 17, with the match between Oscar São José and Bauru.
The playoffs were eagerly awaited, as the competition for a place was fierce and exciting. The season was incredibly competitive, with clubs fighting for every point. Finally, Paulistano, Pinheiros, Bauru, Corinthians, Unifacisa, Oscar São José, Caxias and Pato Basquete secured their places. Pato Basquete qualified for the playoffs by defeating Fortaleza Basquete Cearense to União Corinthians on Friday, April 14.
The knockout stages will be played in the same format as last season, with best-of-three series. The first match will be held at the stadium of the team with the lowest regular season ranking, while the second and third matches will be held at the stadium of the club with the highest regular season ranking (if necessary). The qualifiers will be chosen in a best-of-five series once the playoffs reach the quarter-finals.
The playoffs will be played on Monday, April 17 at 8pm. at the Teatro de São José dos Campos gymnasium, with the match between Oscar São José Basquete (10th) and Bauru (7th). Spectators can expect exciting clashes as the clubs compete for a place in the quarter-finals.
