As it prepares for the 2023 NFL Draft, the renowned Atlanta Falcons club must make a series of decisions. The organization is expected to address the need for a defensive player with the No. 8 pick in the first round. The Falcons, on the other hand, have several other positions that require addressing, including cornerback and offensive line.
Several observers believe that the Falcons’ most pressing need is an offensive lineman. Cornerback is another area of concern for the Falcons, and there should be guys on the board worth picking.
Despite the Falcons’ need for a pass rusher and cornerback, the No. 8 pick could go to an offensive player. While quarterback is still a possibility, it’s doubtful that all of the top signal-callers will be available when the Falcons make their selection. If the team opts to add an offensive player, a quarterback might be the best fit, given the team’s impending need to replace Elijah Wilkinson, who just signed with the Arizona Cardinals.
When the Falcons pick at No. 8, there may be one or two guys who make sense with that choice. Two Big Ten standouts are believed to be in the running for the Falcons’ No. 8 pick, and either one could help the team address a critical need.
Despite having several needs, the Falcons have the option of selecting the best player available with the No. 8 pick. The Falcons have a 55-year history and have won several division titles.
