Valorant players and fans have something to look forward to, as the Bind map is set to return to competitive play, according to recent reports. This comes after Icebox, which has been a problematic map in several competitive games, including the professional Valorant, will be going away to undergo rework and balance changes.
Icebox will leave the map pool in Patch 6.08, while the changes to Bind will be integrated into Patch 6.07 to give players enough time to prepare. Although there is no concrete timetable for when Icebox will make its return, it could take at least a month or two, similar to Bind’s absence from the competitive line-up.
The return of Bind is not only returning to the game, but also has several new changes aimed at balancing the map. Certain angles have been modified to improve the flow of the round. The exact changes can be found in a separate article.
It’s not yet known whether Icebox will see any changes when it returns, but based on the previous rework of maps such as Bind and Split, players can expect some mild changes. With all the VCT leagues in full swing, it remains to be seen how these matches will affect the players. Most games will be played on a previous patch, but there may be some changes for the Masters.
For players who prefer Bind, this is great news, as they can finally enjoy the map again after its long absence. With the new changes in place, it will be interesting to see how players adapt and strategize with the revamped Bind map. As for Icebox, players will have to wait and see what changes will be implemented when it returns to the game.
