Neymar’s arrival at Al-Hilal was a real spectacle, as the striker was presented at the King Fahd Stadium in Riyadh on Saturday (19). The venue was packed with an estimated 68,000 people, who watched an elaborate mosaic and a display of drones with Neymar’s face and the phrase “Neymar is blue”. The Brazilian striker signed a two-season contract with the Arab club, worth 160 million euros (approximately R$865 million). His journey from Paris to Riyadh was equally remarkable, in a Saudi royal family plane worth R$1 billion, receiving a warm welcome from the Saudi fans.
The highlight of the presentation was an impressive drone show, shaping Neymar’s face in the sky, alongside the phrase “Neymar is Blue” and a card reminiscent of the “Ultimate Team” concept from the game “Fifa”. Along with Neymar, goalkeeper Yassine Bono, formerly of Sevilla, was also presented on Saturday.
Although the Brazilian’s debut remains uncertain, Al-Hilal played against Al Feiha in the second round of the Saudi League, raising expectations about Neymar’s possible participation in the team’s future matches. As Neymar embarks on this new chapter of his footballing journey, his generous welcome in Saudi Arabia sets the tone for what promises to be a high-profile spell at Al-Hilal.
