Paris Saint-Germain are planning for life after the departure of Kylian Mbappe. The Ligue 1 giants have put their most valuable asset on the market and are looking for some big-name players to replace Mbappe’s goals. As well as being involved in a dispute with Manchester United over Atalanta striker Ramus Hojlund, PSG have also made contact with Ousmane Dembele to try and sign the Barcelona forward.
Both Man United and PSG have presented their initial offers to Atalanta, with the striker reportedly preferring to move to Manchester United. Although the Premier League has the upper hand, the deal is far from done, as the Serie A club is expecting a large sum, close to 70 million euros.
In the meantime, the Parisians have revived their interest in signing Dembele, who has been a long-term target. According to transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano, the striker has a release clause of 50 million euros until July 31, after which the release clause will jump to 100 million euros.
Barcelona offered Dembele a new contract, and he initially looked set to extend his stay at the Camp Nou, but PSG’s latest approach could make things interesting.
Meanwhile, Al Nassr have reached a full agreement with Bayern Munich for the purchase of Sadio Mane. The Senegalese striker wanted to stay at the Allianz Arena, but the German club wanted to get rid of the player, so Cristiano Ronaldo’s club approached Mane.
The former Liverpool striker is ready to undergo medical examinations and the deal could be completed by the end of next week.
Saudi clubs continue to make noise in the market as Fabinho is set to undergo medical tests at Al-Ittihad, with a three-year contract agreed for the Brazilian midfielder.
Al Ahli also officially presented Riyad Mahrez as their new signing on Friday, Manchester City made £30 million, and the Algerian striker signed a big contract until June 2027.
A meeting between representatives of Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich was scheduled for Friday for Harry Kane, however it has been postponed until next week as Bayern continue to press for the England captain.
