Several important events have taken place on the transfer market in recent days, with many deals being concluded and others beginning to take shape. The most prominent of these deals involves the robust English striker Harry Kane, who is trying to move to German champions Bayern Munich, while Sadio Mane is currently negotiating a move to Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr. In addition, there has been a development in the negotiation of Josko Gvardiol, with RB Leipzig allegedly pulling out at the last second after a supposed deal. In other news, Moises Caicedo is edging closer to an agreement to complete his move to Chelsea, while Fulham manager Marco Silva is weighing up his options after Al Ahli, from the Saudi Arabian Professional League, offered him a lucrative contract.
Tottenham striker Harry Kane has reportedly expressed his dissatisfaction with the London club’s negotiating tactics. According to reports, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has been extremely stubborn in his negotiations with the Bavarians, as he still believes he could convince Kane to sign a contract extension. However, according to Kane himself, he is not interested in continuing at Spurs, having previously tried to leave the club in 2021. However, the deal couldn’t go through after City’s offer of $200 million was rejected by the Londoners.
In any case, Kane is now believed to be pushing for a move to Germany, with Bayern prepared to offer around 85 million, a sum that should seal the deal. If the transfer doesn’t go through once again, the player is likely to leave the club on a free transfer next season, with Manchester United on his mind as he pursues the Premier League’s all-time goalscoring record.
Meanwhile, former Liverpool veteran Sadio Mane was reluctant to start negotiations with Al Nassr, despite believing that he could do well if given time beyond this season, should he get the chance at Bayern Munich. However, Bayern intend to sell the Senegalese striker in order to generate funds to facilitate the signing of Harry Kane. In addition, Bayern have adequate cover in Mane’s preferred position, with players like Serge Gnabry, Leroy Sane, Kingsley Coman, Thomas Muller and Jamal Musiala all vying for Mane’s key positions. In addition, Bayern are negotiating a swap with Manchester City to bring in full-back Kyle Walker, with Frenchman Benjamin Pavard going the other way.
On the other hand, RB Leipzig are furious that details about Josko Gvardiol were leaked before the official announcement, and are believed to have canceled the deal and increased the asking price. Gvardiol’s transfer was agreed with Manchester City, and the withdrawal from the deal marks the second such incident, after the German side extended the player’s contract after Chelsea had fulfilled the Croatian’s release clause last season. However, this time it is hoped that an eventual agreement will be reached between the two teams.
In England, Fulham manager Marco Silva is considering accepting a monster offer from Al Ahli, after the Saudi League side offered him a two-year contract worth 40 million euros. Interestingly, he had previously rejected an offer from the Middle East and intended to terminate his contract. However, it seems that the more favorable terms of the agreement have convinced the Portuguese.
