Arsenal finally unveiled Jurrein Timber as their second signing of the summer on Friday, after completing a 40 million euro deal with Ajax, with 5 million euros in add-ons. The right-back had been linked to Arsenal for a long time and, despite reports that the deal had gone through, the north London club took a while to make it official!
Mikel Arteta’s side had previously signed Kai Havertz from Chelsea in a 65 million euro deal and the German made his debut in a pre-season friendly against Nurnberg, which ended 1-1. The team is also expected to unveil the club’s record signing, Declan Rice, who joined the Emirates for a whopping fee of 105 million euros.
In addition, two of the world’s biggest clubs, Manchester City and Bayern Munich, are still in negotiations to swap their respective right-backs.
