Hollywood heartthrob Brad Pitt is taking his star power to the world of Formula 1. The actor was spotted at Silverstone during the British Grand Prix weekend, filming scenes for his next F1-inspired movie.
Apple’s untitled film, co-produced by seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, promises to show the exciting world of Formula 1 racing like never before. Pitt will play a veteran driver who returns to the grid after a 30-year break. The movie revolves around the fictional APXGP team, which is at the bottom of the standings. Pitt’s character, Sonny Hayes, went on to race in other disciplines after a devastating accident in Formula One. However, he is called upon to help his former team in their quest for redemption. The movie explores the dynamic between Hayes, his friend and team owner, played by Javier Bardem, and a young phenom, played by Damson Idris.
Pitt expressed his enthusiasm for taking part in the project, saying that he is “having as much fun as ever”. He also praised the film’s commitment to authenticity, saying that “Lewis, who is also our producer, really wants us to respect the sport, to show it as it is”.
The film is currently in production and is expected to be released in 2024.
The film’s collaboration with Formula 1 will give it unprecedented access to the inner workings of the sport. The production team will be able to film on race tracks and with real drivers. This will allow them to create a truly authentic and immersive experience for viewers.
The movie’s cast is also a big draw. In addition to Pitt, the film stars Javier Bardem, Damson Idris and Michael Fassbender. All these actors are known for their talent and their ability to bring their characters to life.
The combination of an authentic story, a talented cast and the support of Formula 1 make this movie a must-see for fans of the sport. It will also certainly appeal to audiences who don’t know Formula 1, as it will give them a glimpse into the exciting world of racing.
