Brazilian soccer club Flamengo is on the verge of signing midfielder Allan from Atlético-MG in a deal worth around 8 million euros. After lengthy negotiations, Flamengo reached an agreement with Atlético-MG, and the player arrived in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday night to finalize the deal. The transfer is expected to be officially announced by Flamengo in the next few days.
Allan’s arrival in Rio de Janeiro coincided with Flamengo’s 2-0 win over Fortaleza at the Maracanã Stadium. Before the match, goalkeeper Augustín Rossi, another recent Flamengo signing, was introduced to the fans on the pitch.
Allan, 25, will be Flamengo’s third acquisition in the current transfer window, joining Luiz Araújo and Rossi. The club is also in negotiations to acquire midfielder Claudinho from Zenit and is working on a loan deal for defender Lucas Veríssimo from Benfica.
Having previously worked together at Atlético-MG, Allan confirmed that he had been in contact with Flamengo coach Jorge Sampaoli. The midfielder expressed his excitement and emphasized the need to adapt quickly to the new team.
Allan’s imminent arrival should strengthen Flamengo’s midfield options and add more depth to their squad, which is competing in national and international competitions. With the deal almost complete, Flamengo fans are eagerly awaiting the official announcement and hope to see Allan wearing the red-and-black shirt in the next few games.
