Botafogo FR and Club Deportivo Magallanes played out a 1-1 draw in a very tight CONMEBOL Sudamericana match on Matchweek 6. The match took place at the Nilton Santos Stadium in Rio de Janeiro.
In the first half, Botafogo FR took the lead in the 19th minute when Marlon Freitas took advantage of an assist from Eduardo to put his side 1-0 ahead. The goal gave Botafogo FR a solid platform going into the break.
However, Club Deportivo Magallanes refused to back down and managed to turn things around in the second half. In the 80th minute, Yorman Zapata scored the crucial equalizer, assisted by Alonso Barría. By this point, the Brazilians were playing in the minority; in the 67th minute, Freitas was shown the red card. The goal breathed new life into the match and set the scene for an exciting finale.
Despite the efforts of both teams, neither managed to win, resulting in a 1-1 draw at the end of the game. As a result, Botafogo progressed to the knockout stage playoffs, while LDU Quito, leaders of Group A, went straight through to the Round of 16.
Santos FC and Club Blooming drew 0-0 in an intense CONMEBOL Sudamericana match on Match Week 6. The eagerly awaited clash took place at the Urbano Caldeira Stadium in Santos, São Paulo.

However, even with the numerical advantage, Santos FC were unable to capitalize and score the winning goal. Although the chance of doing so was great. In the 90th minute, Lucas Lima missed a penalty. Both teams showed resilience and determination, but ultimately had to settle for a goalless draw.
América Mineiro pulled off a stunning comeback to secure a 2-1 victory over CA Peñarol in a thrilling CONMEBOL Sudamericana match in Matchweek 6. The eagerly awaited clash took place at the Estadio Centenario in Montevideo.
CA Peñarol took the lead in the 28th minute when Sebastián Rodríguez scored with an assist from Matias Aguirregaray, giving his side a 1-0 lead at the break. The goal gave CA Penarol confidence and control in the match.
However, América Mineiro showed their resilience and fighting spirit in the second half. In the 78th minute, Danilo Avelar equalized with a well-taken goal, assisted by Emmanuel Martínez, to spark hopes of a comeback. As the game reached its climax, América Mineiro completed their comeback in the 88th minute when Juninho scored to secure his team’s dramatic 2-1 victory. This achievement allowed América to finish second in the group and qualify for the playoffs.
