The Lakers’ LeBron James has reached yet another milestone in his illustrious NBA career. During Game 3 of the second round of the playoffs against the Warriors at Crypto.com Arena, James made NBA history by moving into sixth place all-time in playoff rebounds.
By grabbing six rebounds in the game, James surpassed Hall of Famer Abdul-Jabbar (2,481) for 6th place in career playoff rebounds. His next opponent will be four-time NBA champion Shaquille O’Neal (2,508).
O’Neal and Abdul-Jabbar are two of the best players ever to play for the Lakers. Meanwhile, during his career, James has established himself as one of basketball’s best all-round athletes in the NBA’s past, with standout performances in scoring, crucial rebounding, blocking shots and also creating passes.
At the start of this series, LeBron overtook Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to become the NBA’s all-time leading scorer in the regular season. At 38, LeBron has 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds and 6.8 assists with a 50.0% shooting percentage.
The Lakers are 7th in the Western Conference and won their first-round series against the Memphis Grizzlies in six games. After going 1-1 in sets in San Francisco, they beat the Warriors in the first game on their home court in Los Angeles. James, also known as “King-James”, has 4 NBA titles (two with the Miami Heat, one with the Lakers and one with Cleveland), and 10 NBA Finals.
Considered the best athlete of all time, LeBron and Jordan are compared in terms of who is the best of all time. With his recent achievement, James demonstrated once again why he is considered one of the greatest players in the history of sport.
