Four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel will make a long-awaited return to Red Bull Racing by taking part in a special show at the iconic Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit in Germany. The event, scheduled to take place later this year, will showcase Vettel’s skills behind the wheel of his beloved Red Bull RB7, marking his first race in a Red Bull car in nine years.
The RB7 holds a special place in Vettel’s career, being the car in which he secured his second world championship. With 11 wins out of the car’s 12 victories, Vettel also set impressive records, including 392 points scored and 15 pole positions. The reunion with the RB7 will undoubtedly be an exciting moment for Vettel and his fans.
The Nurburgring Nordschleife, often called the “Green Hell”, is a legendary circuit known for its challenging layout, with 20 kilometers of track and 154 corners. Due to the restrictions of its narrow track and the high speeds of modern F1 cars, it is rare to see F1 cars racing on this historic circuit. Vettel will be sharing the track with Daniel Ricciardo, who will be driving the 2012 RB8, adding to the spectacle for the fans in attendance.
Sebastian Vettel expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming event, stating: “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to drive my e-fueled RB7 on the renowned Nordschleife during this exciting exhibition race!” Joining Vettel at the Nurburgring will be Red Bull test and reserve driver Daniel Ricciardo. The combination of Vettel’s seasoned experience and Ricciardo’s young talent promises to create an electrifying atmosphere at the event.
The upcoming exhibition race is also a significant milestone, as it will be the first time an F1 car has been to the Nordschleife in a decade. The last time this happened was in 2013, when Michael Schumacher drove a Mercedes, preceded by Nick Heidfeld’s BMW Sauber in 2007. Vettel’s presence on the track further increases the importance of this event for motorsport enthusiasts.
Sebastian Vettel’s return to Red Bull Racing and his upcoming appearance at the Nurburgring Nordschleife will undoubtedly captivate fans around the world. The event not only allows Vettel to revisit his glory days with Red Bull, but also serves as a platform to promote sustainable practices within motorsport.
