Atlético-MG beat Internacional 2-0, while Fluminense secured a 2-0 win over Cuiabá in the final round of the Brazilian Serie A Championship. Meanwhile, Palmeiras and Red Bull Bragantino drew 1-1, and Flamengo won a thrilling 3-2 victory over Bahia.
Flamengo beat Bahia 3-2
Flamengo secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Bahia in their Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A clash.
The visitors started the game brightly and took the lead in the 24th minute through Matheus França, before Gabriel Barbosa (29′) doubled the lead from the penalty spot five minutes later. Bahia showed resilience and scored through Gabriel Teixeira in the 36th minute, but David Luiz (45’+5′) restored Flamengo’s two-goal lead with a late goal at the end of the first half.
Ademir (52′) reduced Bahia’s deficit at the start of the second half, but two defenders, Julio Cesar (74′) and captain Kanu (77′), received red cards. This madness of two red cards in a matter of three minutes made it difficult for the home side to react. Flamengo held on to secure three vital points away from home.
The win moves Flamengo up to 5th place, while Bahia are in 14th.
Fluminense secure comfortable 2-0 win against Cuiabá
Fluminense recorded a comfortable 2-0 win over Cuiabá in a Serie A Brazilian Championship match. Ganso was the star of the show, as the midfielder scored a goal and provided an assist to take home the victory.
Captain Nino opened the scoring for Fluminense six minutes into the first half with an accurate shot that flew past the Cuiabá goalkeeper. Fluminense continued to dominate the game with 58% possession, creating several chances to extend their lead.
The second goal came in the 56th minute, with Ganso scoring into the back of the net. Cuiabá tried to get back into the game, but couldn’t break through Fluminense’s resolute defense. With the win, Fluminense climbed to 3rd place in the table, while Cuiabá remain in 17th position.
Palmeiras and Red Bull Bragantino draw 1-1
Palmeiras and Red Bull Bragantino drew 1-1 in the Brazilian Serie A Championship on Saturday.
The match began with Palmeiras taking control of the game, but they only managed one shot on goal. On the other hand, Red Bull Bragantino attacked the home side at half-time, but missed a great chance to go ahead.
In the second half, the game became more open, with both teams looking to score. Finally, it was Palmeiras who took the lead in the 65th minute through Artur. However, the lead was short-lived as Juninho Capixaba (71′) equalized for Red Bull Bragantino just six minutes later.
Both teams had chances to score in the remaining time, but failed to convert. Palmeiras were frustrated and this was evident when Palmeiras coach Abel Ferreira received a yellow card for an argument. The result leaves Palmeiras in second place in the table, while Red Bull Bragantino are in 13th.

Eduardo Vargas opened the scoring for the home side with a goal after just three minutes, giving Atlético-MG an early lead. Internacional tried to score an equalizer, but failed to break through Atlético-MG’s defense. Although the home side were in total control of the first half, they were unable to increase their lead as they missed three great chances.
However, the team continued to press in search of a second goal and, in the final minutes of extra time, Paulinho (90’+5′) scored to seal Atlético-MG’s victory, taking them to fourth place in the standings, while Internacional remain in 12th.
