The long-awaited WrestleMania 39 culminated in a surprise.
The six-fight card at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, featured the WWE’s top stars and got the fans excited.
The night started with a bang when Brock Lesnar took on Omos in an intense opening bout. The women’s Fatal 4-Way, with Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler, brought the fans to their feet.
The Intercontinental title match was a brutal affair that saw GUNTHER emerge as the winner, defeating Drew McIntyre and Sheamus in an intense fight. Bianca Belair put on an impeccable performance to retain her WWE Raw Women’s Title against Asuka.
The highlight of the night was the “Hell in a Cell” match between Edge and Finn Balor, which was an absolute war. Edge came out as the winner, cementing his status as one of the greatest of all time.
The Miz returned to the stage to face Snoop Dogg in a highly entertaining match, while the main event saw Roman Reigns retain his WWE Undisputed Universal Title against Cody Rhodes with the help of The Bloodline. The result left many fans and punters shocked and disheartened.
The WrestleMania 39 weekend was a great success, with the two nights of the event providing unforgettable moments that will be remembered for many years to come. The ratings also proved that WWE’s popularity is still strong, with SmackDown once again ranked as the number one program on all of television.
