Deiveson Figueiredo beat Cody Garbrandt via second-round submission in the opening fight of the historic UFC 300 card on Saturday night (13) at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, USA, and asked for a shot at the bantamweight title.

After the win, Deiveson increased his record to 23-3-1 and, in an interview inside the octagon, asked for a shot at the welterweight belt that currently belongs to Sean O’Malley. Garbrandt, meanwhile, had his two-fight winning streak snapped, leaving him 14-6 down.
