Norma’s return to 61 kg had some dramatic moments this weekend. After a good first round, in which the Brazilian managed to take the Dutchwoman down and pin her to the ground, she saw her rival grow in the second, with an active clinch and sharp muay thai.
In the final round, “The Immortal” made crucial use of her grappling, where she didn’t let Germaine off the ground from the opening minutes, and took the fight by unanimous decision.
Dumont, currently ranked 11th in the bantamweight rankings, has now been undefeated for four consecutive fights, increasing her record to 11-2. “The Iron Lady”, who saw her return to the octagon thwarted, is 10-5.
