Fluminense and Fortaleza, two Brazilian soccer clubs, have seen significant increases in their global position according to the monthly rankings released by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS). These rankings take into account international and national performances over the past year, assigning different weights based on the level of competition.
Fluminense’s remarkable rise in the rankings, up 14 places, took them to 21st position, marking the most substantial gain among the world’s top 30 teams. Fortaleza, another Brazilian contender, climbed from 17th to 13th place, reflecting their consistent and impressive performance on the soccer scene.
Although Flamengo maintains its status as the best Brazilian club on the list, it has dropped three places and is now in sixth place. Meanwhile, Palmeiras occupies a commendable eighth place in the ranking, further emphasizing the strength of Brazilian soccer on the global stage.
