After leading Fluminense in a challenging match against Botafogo, which ended in a 2-0 defeat, Fernando Diniz quickly moved on to coach the Brazilian national team. The dual responsibility of coaching Fluminense and the national team is proof of Diniz’s versatility and experience in the world of soccer.
As well as Fernando Diniz, Fluminense have two other representatives working with the Brazilian national team: defender Nino and midfielder André. Jhon Arias, who has been called up to the Colombian national team, is another player with international commitments for the October FIFA break.
The Brazilian national team’s next schedule includes matches against Venezuela on October 12 and Uruguay on October 17. These matches will be played in Cuiabá and Montevideo respectively. This is Fernando Diniz’s second official appointment as coach of the Brazilian national team.
Diniz’s first games in charge of the Brazilian team were successful, with an impressive 5-1 win over Bolivia and a hard-fought 1-0 triumph over Peru. As a result, Brazil currently tops the World Cup Qualifying table with six points, underlining the promising start to Diniz’s tenure.
