Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham, Real Madrid’s promising young talents, showed their potential partnership in the recent Champions League win over Napoli. Despite a challenging match, both players managed to score goals and put in impressive performances on the pitch.
Bellingham, who came from Borussia Dortmund, and Vinicius Junior, who now proudly wears Real Madrid’s historic number 7 shirt, proved their worth to the team. Vinicius Junior was sidelined for 33 days due to injury, during which time Bellingham excelled, receiving praise from fans and teammates.
Vinicius Junior expressed his satisfaction with his teammate’s success and revealed that he played an important role in bringing Bellingham to Real Madrid. He explained: “I hope we can continue to support each other. I’m delighted with his arrival and I sent him several messages over several days to help with his transfer.”
He added:“I’m very happy that he’s making a positive impact on the team, and our partnership is growing, just like the previous one with Karim Benzema.”
The match against Napoli marked Vinicius Junior’s debut in this season’s Champions League. He had already scored a crucial goal in the 2021/22 campaign and, with his latest strike, he has now netted 16 times in the tournament, moving up to 14th place in the all-time list of Brazilian scorers.
Vinicius Junior expressed his happiness at returning to the Champions League and emphasized the importance of this competition for Real Madrid players. “For those who wear the Real Madrid shirt, the Champions League is always the ultimate goal, regardless of all other competitions. When Real Madrid enter the Champions League, our aim is to win it. We’re on the right track, with two wins this season, and we need to keep up this momentum to build confidence, which is always crucial.“
