Cagliari – Milan – 1:3
Newly promoted Cagliari took the lead in their home game against Milan in the 29th minute. Zito Luvumbo fired a left-footed rocket into the top corner from a tight angle to stop the game. Milan responded quickly, scoring twice before the break. Okafor headed Pulisic’s cross into the net in the 40th minute and five minutes later Tomori took advantage of another loose ball to shoot at goal from close range.
Loftus-Cheek had the chance to extend the lead early in the first half, but Boris Radunovich saved his attempt with his outstretched leg. However, the Englishman managed to score his first goal for Milan in the 60th minute. Pulisic gave him the assist. Let’s remember that both moved from Chelsea this summer. Cagliari made a late attempt to score a consolation goal: Oristanio crossed for Luvumbo, but he was stopped by Milan goalkeeper Sportiello.
Pioli’s fifth win in six games allowed them to climb to the top of the table. Meanwhile, Cagliari are in last place with just two points.
Inter – Sassuolo – 1:2
In six days, Sassuolo have “scalped” two giants of Italian soccer. First Juventus won at home (4:2), and now they’ve beaten the league leaders away from home, inflicting on the “black and blue” their first league defeat. Zomer saved Inter twice in the first half and Dumfries gave the hosts the lead before the break. But Bajrami, in the 54th minute, and Berardi, in the 63rd minute, turned the game around, leading Sassuolo to victory – 2:1
Brazilian Carlos Augusto came on in the 68th minute, but for the winners, Matheus Henrique played the whole match and Tressoldi came on in the 61st minute
Lazio – Torino – 2:0
Brazilian Felipo Anderson provided an assist in the 75th minute, after which the score stood at 2-0, and the fate of the match was decided.
