The former Leeds United manager was close to a deal with Leicester City, according to reports. But the current phase has somewhat forced the American to withdraw his candidacy.
The East Midlands club faced their 8th defeat in their last 9 games after losing 1-0 to Bournemouth at the weekend. The poor results included defeats against relegation rivals Bournemouth, Crystal Palace and Southampton, putting the club in 19th place with just eight games remaining.

Leicester were in talks with Marsch at the weekend, when the American informed the club of his decision amid relegation fears. The 48-year-old lost his job at Leeds United in February and believes that the club needs a manager with a different profile to take charge of the club in the second tier of English soccer if they are relegated from the Premier League.
It seems difficult for the board to find a replacement for Rodgers, who led Leicester to the FA Cup title in 2021 and secured two consecutive fifth places in the Premier League.
