Max Holloway demonstrated his skill by defeating Chan Sung Jung to secure his 20th victory at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Saturday. He won by knockout over the Korean Zombie in the third round, precisely 23 seconds in. After this defeat, Chan Sung Jung (17-8) formally declared his retirement from MMA.
With this win, Max Holloway (24-7) etched his name as the first fighter in the featherweight division to record 20 wins, 11 of them by finish and 9 resounding knockouts in a total of 26 fights.

When Jung entered the ring, he exuded an aggressive approach, advancing with a threatening demeanor and throwing a flurry of punches with abandon. In contrast, Holloway maintained a calm stance, deftly deflecting Jung’s ferocious power punches and launching calculated counterattacks.

His impressive performance was evident from the start. During the first round, Holloway managed to stagger Jung with a left hook and, in the second round, knocked him to the canvas. He then masterfully executed a d’Arce choke, almost sealing the fight after the knockdown.
Holloway’s record at featherweight now stands at 18 wins in 21 fights. His only three defeats in this division came against the current champion, Alexander Volkanovski.
Women’s flyweight – Erin Blanchfield (USA) – Taila SANTOS (BRAZIL)
Shifting her focus, Erin Blanchfield now has her sights set on a title shot, after scoring the most significant and possibly most difficult victory of her career at UFC Singapore. Brazilian former title challenger Taila Santos posed a formidable challenge for Blanchfield, especially in the first round, when she landed a flurry of blows with consistent accuracy.
Blanchfield, however, weathered the storm and went on to beat Santos relentlessly in the last 10 minutes, setting a pace that proved insurmountable. In the end, all three judges scored it 29-28 in favor of Blanchfield, who maintains an unblemished record in the UFC, extending his winning streak to six in a row in the promotion.
