A spectacular success story has reached a new and exciting stage. The dynamic partnership between Caixa Econômica Federal and the National Basketball League has resurfaced, revitalizing the NBB, the Super 8 Cup and the Game of Stars and feeding the fervor of Brazilian basketball fans.
The two institutions formalized a commercial agreement on Thursday (24/08) in São Paulo, promising to give new vigor to the main professional basketball championship. The deal signals the return of the legendary “NBB CAIXA” title to the top basketball tournament. The agreement also strengthens the Development League’s objective of developing new players who want to progress to the NBB, the country’s main basketball stage. The Loterias CAIXA brand will be the protagonist, exhibiting its products at key points of the season, complementing the mosaic of partnerships.
The NBB sponsorship and naming rights were presented at the CAIXA Cultural Center, providing an appropriate setting for the Bank to renew its commitment to the Brazilian Paralympic Committee (CPB) and the Brazilian Athletics Confederation (CBAT). In addition to the Naming Rights, CAIXA will launch a series of activities and digital materials, including highlights and memorable plays from NBB games. The scope of the partnership includes the activation of CAIXA Lottery products, highlighting significant moments during the main events and games throughout the year.
The first stage of this innovative relationship in Brazilian basketball began in March 2016, with the agreement between the League and CAIXA. Until the initial agreement is concluded during the 2018/2019 season, the history books will record significant milestones and memorable images etched in the annals of sport.
The launch of Jogo das Estrelas was the most significant of these milestones. The National Basketball League has established the JDE event as a spectacular milestone between sport and entertainment, being the leading event of its kind in Brazil, thanks to the critical assistance of CAIXA and other collaborators. In particular, the innovative idea of the Fan Zone debuted in 2016, creating an engaging place for the public, full of varied activities and entertainment opportunities. With this renewed relationship, the stage is set for another exciting chapter in Brazilian basketball, reinforced by the infusion of CAIXA’s unwavering support.
