Manchester United lose 2-0 to Tottenham
Before collapsing in the second half, Ten Hag’s men started the first half on the right foot. Marcus Rashford and Brazilian midfielder Antony were dictating proceedings for Machester United, but the England international failed to open the scoring and they were punished for it at the other end.
In the 26th minute, Garnacho hit the Tottenham defender in the hand, but the referees decided it wasn’t a penalty. In the 37th minute, Bruno Fernandes should have scored after Shaw’s cross, but he hit his head over the goalkeeper’s head. In the 40th minute, Sarr crossed from the right, after a rebound the ball hit the crossbar, and Richarlison was unable to finish. By the way, about the Brazilian – the striker, for the second match in a row, showed a very weak game. After playing 70 minutes, he was replaced by Perisic.
In the second half, Dejan Kulusevsvki’s deflected cross found its way to Sarr, who sent the home fans into raptures with a fine first-time finish. Shortly afterwards, Antony hit the post and André Onana made a brilliant save from Destiny Udogie.
Brazilian midfielder Casemiro’s attempted header was stopped by a first-time save from Vicario. James Maddison and Heung Min Son combined for a brilliant team goal when Ben Davies’ shot deflected off Martinez and beat Onana to score the second goal.
Brazilian striker Richarlison struggled to influence the game, while Casemiro impressed, but Antony was guilty of not being decisive enough at key moments.
Liverpool – Bournemouth – duel between Brazilian goalkeepers Alisson and Neto
The start of the game was terrible for Liverpool. In the first minute, McAlister threw the ball unsuccessfully into his area, Alisson also made a mistake and Anthony rolled the ball into the empty net. The hosts were lucky that the offside position was corrected.
But two minutes later, the defense made another serious mistake. Trent lost the ball – Solanke shot, rebound, goal for Semegno – 0:1. Liverpool could have equalized immediately, but Van Dijk hit the crossbar after a corner.
Several chances and shots from Diaz materialized into a goal in the 27th minute. With his back to goal, he lifted the ball into the air and shot himself exactly into the corner – 1:1. In the 35th minute, Soboslai forced Rothwell to commit a foul. Salah took the penalty. Neto saved the shot, but the Egyptian finished for goal – 2:1. Before the break, Neto made another save for Bournemouth when he saved a shot from Trent.

In the 62nd minute, Neto saved Soboslai’s shot and Jota completed the scoring: 3-1. In the 63rd minute, Wataru Endo made his debut for Liverpool, bought from Stuttgart for 18 million euros. At the end of the game, Alisson made several saves from shots by Kluivert and Traore.
ManCity – Newcastle – champions against last season’s fourth team
Argentine striker Julian Alvarez’s wonder goal was enough for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City to claim all three points in their home game against Newcastle.
Shortly after the half-hour mark, Alvarez put his team ahead with a powerful shot that had no chance of being saved by Nick Pope. Erling Haaland was guilty of missing two good chances, shooting wide of the post on both occasions.
Pope used his legs well to deny Haaland and Phil Foden, keeping the score at 1-0 as City held on for the win.
Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson was tested a lot, but was reliable with his passes, while his compatriots Bruno Guimarães and Joelinton had their moments, although the latter suffered a knock and was substituted in the 57th minute. Both midfielders received yellow cards.
