Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino, who was sacked from his previous post at Paris Saint-Germain, has basically ruled out the possibility of signing Kylian Mbappe. Despite Chelsea’s free-spending spree in recent windows, it is unlikely that the team will be interested in the French striker.
Pochettino insisted that he loves both PSG and Mbappe and hopes for a solution that pleases both parties, but made it clear that Chelsea will probably not enter the dispute.
“We are working in our reality, our reality is different. For my part, I have nothing to say. I just hope they find a solution for both sides. I love PSG, I was a player and a coach there… and I love Kylian” said the Argentinian.
According to transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano, Al Hilal have sent a delegation to Paris to negotiate the signing of Mbappe. The Saudi Arabian club has already made a world record offer of 300 million euros, which would have been accepted by the Parisians.
Al Hilal will probably offer Kylian a fixed salary of 200 million euros, plus commercial deals/image rights of up to 700 million euros. They are also offering the Frenchman the chance to join Real Madrid in 2024.
Liverpool are preparing a second offer for Romeo Lavia after their initial bid was rejected by Southampton. The new formal offer for Roméo Lavia is worth £42.5 million guaranteed fee plus £2.5 million add-ons up to a total package of £45 million, which is closer to Southampton’s £50 million valuation. Liverpool are trying to close the deal quickly for the 21-year-old midfielder, given Chelsea’s interest in the player.
Arsenal had also expressed an interest, but did not pursue the transfer after Thomas Partey decided to stay in London. Fabrizio also reported that Manchester United had submitted their initial offer to Atalanta for Rasmus Højlund for a package of 60 million euros, 50 million euros fixed fee and an additional 10 million euros. The Serie A club is seeking offers close to 70 million euros.
Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in the player and are reportedly negotiating with Højlund’s team.
