Brazilian winger Willian seems to have no shortage of suitors, although the veteran is currently a free agent after his contract with Fulham expires. The Craven Cottage club remain keen to keep hold of the 34-year-old, who has also received a formal offer from Nottingham Forest. According to soccer transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Saudi Arabian clubs have also entered the race to sign Willain.
A decision from Willian is expected in the coming weeks, but until then the three interested parties will continue to make progress.
Willian received an offer to stay at Fulham and, after rejecting the Cottagers’ first bid, the club made another offer to the former Chelsea striker.
In the meantime, Nottingham Forest have also entered the fray, while Saudi Arabian clubs are also tempting the Brazilian with a lucrative contract.
After shining in the Premier League with Chelsea, the winger joined Arsenal in 2020, but after just one season was let go by the team as he returned to Corithians, his boyhood club.
The return to his home country was not very fruitful, as the winger complained about threats received from fans on social media after he terminated his contract and decided to join Fulham in September 2022.
After his return to the big time, the star helped his new club finish in the top half of the table, with Willian scoring five goals and providing six assists before the end of the season. As he had only signed a one-year contract, the player became a free agent in June, but the winger remains an important asset with his experience in England.
Having represented the Brazilian national team in 70 teams and won the Copa America in 2019, in addition to his nine goals for the Seleção, Willian could be the latest star to move to the Saudi Pro League, or he could choose to continue his career in England, at Fulham or Nottingham.
