It’s very rare for up to four Premier League clubs to compete for a player, and when they do, he has to be very good. According to a report in 90min, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham are all in line to acquire the services of Fluminense’s André Trindade.
It has been reported that La Liga giants Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid are keeping tabs on the Brazilian player. The report claims that Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs have also held talks with the player’s representatives, but Fulham are the closest to sealing a deal for the 21-year-old.
The midfielder has been one of the best young players in his position and has also been called up to the Brazilian national team once. Fluminense are likely to demand a fee of £25 million for the youngster who has been making a name for himself on the national circuit with his club.
It is known that Fulham are increasingly confident of securing the signing of Trindade. The player has made 11 appearances in Serie A this season and last year made 34 league appearances, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
Born on July 16, 2001, Trindade has played for Fluminense since childhood and made his professional debut in 2020 in the Copa do Brasil, coming on as a substitute in the 1-0 win.
In October last year, he extended his current contract until 2026, having played a total of 141 professional games for Fluminense.
With his ability to play as a CDM or as a central midfielder, André would bring his flair and passing game that earned him admirers all over Europe.
Although Fulham are leading the race for the 21-year-old, it is likely that other Premier League teams will also test Fluminense’s resolve, and this could still work in the Brazilian club’s favor, as they could ask for an even higher fee, given that the player still has three years left on his contract.
