With the return of soccer clubs for the pre-season, transfer activity hasn’t slowed down one bit and rumors continue to circulate. Although it was expected that Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen would be the two strikers who could be in the spotlight if they decided to abandon ship, instead it is Dusan Vlahovic who could be the big transfer, as Paris Saint-Germain are monitoring the Juventus striker.
Barcelona have unveiled the signing of Brazilian youngster Vitor Roque from Athletico Paranaense, while Manchester United are close to completing a deal with Inter Milan for the signing of André Onana.
While Bayern Munich continue their pursuit of Harry Kane, who Tottenham are reluctant to sell, Victor Osimhen also looks set to stay at Napoli. President Aurelio De Laurentiis has publicly stated that PSG are interested in the striker, although the Parisians also have Vlahovic on their list. Juventus would only be willing to sell the player in a big-money deal, without a loan option.
Barcelona, for their part, revealed the signing of Roque for 30 million euros on Wednesday. The Brazilian club should receive an additional 26 million euros based on performance and goals, with a contract until 2030/31 and a release clause of 500 million euros.
Meanwhile, United continue to negotiate with Inter. According to Fabrizio Romano, the two clubs could conclude the deal by the end of this week, with a fee of around 55 million euros. Personal terms have already been agreed for a five-year contract, but Erik ten Hag wants Onana to travel for the pre-season tour in the USA.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are keeping tabs on Rasmus Højlund after he was passed over for Kane. PSG also made inquiries about Højlund, and it seems they are preparing for life after Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe.
Former Manchester City defender Angeliño is to join Turkish club Galatasaray from RB Leipzig on a loan deal with an obligation-to-buy clause worth 7/8 million euros.
Saudi Arabian clubs continued their spending spree. Al Hilal are close to completing the signing of Sergej Milinković-Savić, with a medical examination scheduled following his agreement with Lazio for 40 million euros.
