It’s been a few days for Manchester United in the summer transfer window after they failed to land their main target, Tottenham’s Harry Kane. The Red Devils have now turned their attention to Rasmus Højlund from Atalanta.
The Danish striker reportedly agreed terms with United before moving to Old Trafford this summer. Erik ten Hag’s men are still looking for a number nine and need to pay a fee to Rasmus, but a deal can be done once negotiations have progressed.
Another deal for United is close to completion, as the club is set to sign Andre Onana from Inter Milan. The two clubs are very close to agreeing the final details of the transfer, and the player had already agreed terms with Red on a five-year contract and the move could be finalized by the end of this week.
Ten Hag is pushing for the player to be in the team before their pre-season tour of the USA. David de Gea confirmed on Saturday that he will be leaving United after more than a decade at Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, Inter are hoping to make an offer of around €6 million for Yann Sommer. They will resume their pursuit of the Bayern Munich goalkeeper as soon as Onana’s transfer is completed. The Italian giants are also keen to sign Shakhtar Donetsk goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin.
Another former United player in the news is Romelu Lukaku, who was on loan at Inter last season.
Juventus have reportedly entered negotiations with Chelsea for Lukaku, as the Old Lady is looking to reinforce its attacking line.
Paris Saint-Germain has been in the news all summer for the Kylian Mbappé saga, as the club ponders a decision on the Frenchman’s future. Meanwhile, they confirmed the signing of Kang-in Lee from Mallorca for €22 million on a five-year contract.
