The Kylian Mbappé saga is set to continue and it doesn’t look like there will be a resolution any time soon. When one of the best players in the world is looking for a move, there’s a good chance it’ll be the biggest talking point of the current transfer window.
Although Real Madrid are strongly linked with Mbappé, according to a report in the Independent, the Frenchman would also be open to joining Arsenal. Premier League giants Liverpool have also been credited with an interest in the 24-year-old. However, he would prefer a move to the Emirates, given Arsenal’s recent resurgence under Mikel Arteta.
Mbappé is known to be very close to Thierry Henry, which could have an effect on his joining Arsenal. Should it happen, the player would also love the challenge of delivering the Premier League title to the north London club, amid Manchester City’s dominance.
However, PSG could be a major obstacle. The club has sent a letter to Mbappé, telling him that the Frenchman has until the end of July to make his decision to stay or move on. The Parisians plan to sell him this summer, and will only keep him if he signs a contract extension, as they don’t want to lose the world’s ‘best player’ on a free transfer.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are closing in on a deal for Andre Onana with Inter Milan. The club has already agreed terms with the player and will probably reach a final agreement for a fee of €55 million. The team hopes to close a deal by the end of this week so that Onana can join the team on its tour of the United States.
Meanwhile, Inter are looking to sign not one, but two goalkeepers: Yann Sommer from Bayern Munich and Anatolij Trubin from Shakhtar Donetsk. They want to replace Onana and Samir Handanovic.
Kyle Walker is therefore expected to make a final decision on his future soon. The Englishman has attracted great interest from Bayern Munich, while his parent club (Manchester City) has offered him a new contract, as João Cancelo is about to leave. Thomas Tuchel is known for being a big fan.
Newcastle United are looking to add another player to their midfield line-up as they are chasing Liecester City midfielder Harvey Barnes. Negotiations are underway and Eddie Howe is keen to land the player, who would be delighted to join the Magpies.
Christian Pulisic ‘s transfer to AC Milan is almost finalized. USA International has been pushing for the deal to be completed, worth a further €20 million with add-ons. After Ruben Loftus-Cheek, the team signed another player from Chelsea.
Remember Daley Blind? The former Manchester United defender was with Bayern Munich until recently, but after not getting a chance under Tuchel, he decided to try another adventure.
Manchester United are also continuing their pursuit of Atalanta striker Rasmus Højlund. According to the latest reports, the Red Devils could offer Mason Greenwood in exchange. However, it will only be a loan. Despite his problems off the pitch, Erik ten Hag wants the player to stay at United.
