Renowned Brazilian soccer club Flamengo have shifted their focus to another midfielder, Mauricio from Internacional, as they step up their efforts to strengthen their squad. The 22-year-old was already on Flamengo’s radar before, but now interest has reached a higher level.
The club has already received crucial documents detailing Mauricio’s recent injuries. Dr. Márcio Tannure, head of Flamengo’s medical department, will carry out a full assessment. If the results of the evaluation are positive, the soccer department will be notified to consider a possible transfer of the talented midfielder.
Although the player’s representatives have confirmed Flamengo’s interest in signing Mauricio, there has still been no significant progress in the negotiations. Internacional, known as Colorado, would have demanded around 9 million euros (approximately R$47 million) for half of the player’s economic rights.
Mauricio’s economic rights are currently divided between three parties. Internacional hold 50%, while the remaining 50% is split between Cruzeiro (25%), Desportivo Brasil (20%) and the player himself (5%).
With Flamengo looking to strengthen their squad and Mauricio’s talent and potential, the negotiations have the potential to captivate the soccer community. While fans anxiously await news of the situation, both clubs will have crucial decisions to make in their quest to sign the promising midfielder.
