Grêmio dominates Coritiba with a resounding 5-1 win
Grêmio produced an impressive performance to beat Coritiba 5-1 in the Brasileirão. Cristaldo, Villasanti, Bitello, Luis Suárez and André scored the goals for Grêmio, while Alef Manga managed to pull one back for Coritiba. The result moved Grêmio up to second place in the league standings, just seven points behind leaders Botafogo. Coritiba, on the other hand, continue to struggle as they remain bottom of the table with just four points.
Tiquinho Soares leads Botafogo to 1-0 win over Palmeiras
Tiquinho Soares continued his fine form by scoring the only goal in Botafogo’s 1-0 win over Palmeiras. The win further solidified Botafogo’s position at the top of the Campeonato Brasileiro, extending their lead by seven points. Soares, the league’s top scorer with 10 goals, scored the winner with a neat finish after a defensive error by Zé Rafael. Palmeiras fought back to equalize, but an offside call by the VAR prevented Gustavo Gómez from scoring. Botafogo and Palmeiras will now focus on their respective international matches in midweek.
Internacional beat América-MG 2-1

Bragantino secure 2-0 win over Goiás

The match saw Bragantino press early on, with Sasha scoring in the sixth minute. The team continued to control the game and sealed the win with Sorriso’s goal just before half-time. In the second half, Bragantino maintained their lead comfortably, while Goiás struggled to create chances. The final score remained 2-0 in favor of Bragantino.
Flamengo beat Santos 3-2
Santos faced Flamengo at Vila Belmiro on Sunday night in a tense game that ended in a 3-2 victory for the visitors. Despite playing without their fans due to a punishment from the STJD, Santos fought hard against Flamengo, who reacted after a heavy defeat against Bragantino.
