Franca 93 – 79 Minas
Franca Basquete beat Minas 123 in a best-of-five series to advance to the final of the long-awaited Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB) competition. The decisive match took place on Tuesday night (23) at the Pedroco arena in the interior of São Paulo, where Franca beat Minas 93-79. Lucas Dias had an incredible game, scoring 28 points and leading all scorers.
In the grand final, Franca will have a tough match against São Paulo. The opening game of the series will be played this Saturday (27) at 3pm in the Pedroco gym. Lucas Dias, who impressed in the semi-finals, is one to watch out for in the next final.
Franca opened the semi-finals with a great effort, winning 112-98,
in the first game.
Minas, on the other hand, made a strong comeback in the second match, winning 103-89
at home. Franca beat Minas 95-91 in the third game to secure their place in the final.
Minas has been eliminated from the semi-finals of the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB). The team from Minas Gerais was beaten 93-79 by Franca in a game played at the Pedroco arena in the city in the interior of São Paulo.
The series between Franca and Minas was tied at 2-2, raising the stakes for Game 5. Franca controlled the game from the start, taking the lead in the first quarter. Despite Minas’ desperate efforts to create a comeback in the second quarter, Franca maintained control and led by seven points at the break, 51-44. Franca’s intelligent management of their lead dominated the second half. They ended the fourth quarter with a nine-point lead, winning the game 93-79.
Lucas Dias, Franca’s power forward, was the star of Game 5 of the playoffs, scoring 28 points. If they advance to the final, Franca will face São Paulo in what looks to be an exciting championship clash. Basketball fans are looking forward to the opening game of the series, with the two clubs competing for the coveted NBB title.
