Arkadiusz Milik’s second-half goal prevented Juventus from defeating Bologna in Serie A on Sunday, as Massimiliano Allegri’s men struggled to find their form in the game.
In a surprising turn of events, Bologna opened the scoring early against Juventus with a penalty awarded for a foul by Danilo on Riccardo Orsolini, which the winger coolly converted in the 10th minute.
Juventus had the chance to level the match from the penalty spot 20 minutes later, when Bologna’s Jhon Lucumi brought down Milik on the edge of the box. However, the striker’s low shot was easily saved by Bologna goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski.
Skorupski was in great form, blocking Juve on several occasions during the first half, while the visitors pressed relentlessly.
It wasn’t until the 60th minute that Juventus finally found a breakthrough, with Milik firing the ball into the bottom right corner to level the score. Juve’s Alex Sandro and Danilo spent the entire match on the pitch.
With five games without a win in all competitions, Juventus had to settle for a 1-1 draw, leaving them in third place with 60 points from 32 games. While second-placed Lazio lost 3-1 to Internazionale, Napoli’s Scudetto title celebrations were postponed as they surprisingly drew with Salernitana on the same day.
