The midweek round of Premier League matches on Tuesday night saw crucial games played at the bottom of the table, with important points at stake. Tyrone Mings secures narrow win for Aston Villa over Fulham, taking them to fifth place in the Premier League
Aston Villa extended their unbeaten run to 10 games with a 1-0 win over Fulham at Villa Park, moving up to fifth place in the Premier League and overtaking Tottenham. The team, under the guidance of Unai Emery, are determined to qualify for Europe after a 12-year absence, and Tyrone Mings’ first-half header secured their eighth win in their last 10 games.
Despite Fulham manager Marco Silva’s claims that his side were “on the beach”, they put in a mediocre performance and failed to threaten Villa, who eased off in the second half.
Leeds and Leicester share points in intense draw as relegation battle heats up
Leeds United missed the chance to move four points clear of the relegation zone after a 1-1 draw with Leicester City.
