Just before i start about the football, may God rest their souls, Andre and Diogo. Such an awful thing and i don’t think anyone can still believe it. Football aside, we all know how great Jota was for us, an absolute pleasure to have played for us, but i still don’t think any of us can even comprehend what the family must be going through.
Anyway, just thought i would raise questions about some Liverpool FC transfers. With Chiesa starting today and the tragic passing of Diogo, is he one, Arne Slot may be looking at keeping and giving another chance as back up? It seems the only ones who are guaranteed to stay at the moment seem to be Salah and Gakpo in the frontline? Would be interested to know if there is a change of plans with the frontline.
I personally would keep Chiesa and give him a chance as I’m not sure how he was last season as every game was so important near enough from the beginning. Also, what is the transfer strategy regarding Nunez and Diaz? Is it a case of we would be willing to let them both go if suitable offers come in? With that being said, is that why our current movement has halted on a striker? I understand everything is so raw at the moment, but we currently have 5 forwards with 3 having question marks raised about them.
Would also be interested to know what our plans are as we know Nunez if the money is right, he can go and the same with Diaz so is this something we are working on but has just been halted at the moment due to the passing of Diogo?
Finally, would just like to know about the defence as i can’t see us making any other midfielder signings, as i think Slot is going to utilise what he has with the addition of Wirtz. Also, is it looking likely that Konate may leave? We currently have three first choice CBs, one who is injury prone, Virg and one whose contract situation is up in arms.
I assume the likes of Elliott, Morton and Tsimikas are all up for sale if the right offers come in, and i’m interested to hear opinions on our defensive transfer plans going forward as well.
